With passion in his heart and scissors in his hand, he embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to not just become a Celebrity Barber but also an Entertainer we know today. But how did it all begin?

My name is Adesuyan Rotimi Timilehin popularly known as ROSTIMARP the Celebrity Barber
Cool, Rostimarp. Everyone calls you that right? Tell us how you got the nick
The name Rostimarp. It was derived from the combination of my name. I won't call it a nick though but yes for now
So, Let's talk about school. What's your dept and level?
I'm a student of ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY AKUNGBA AKOKO 200 level studying Adult Education
Are you enjoying it? How has it been?
I have no other option than to enjoy it. It has not been an easy thing combining school, work, and other activities together but on God, we will scale through
Some People know you as a Celebrity Barber, and some know you as a whale in the Entertainment industry. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your journey in the entertainment industry leading up to this point?
I'm a Barber cos that's what I do professionally. I have been doing this before I thought of going back to school in 2019.
In 2020 I had an opportunity to partake in a pageantry event planning in Akure, Ondo state. It was MR & MISS ONDO STATE Hosted by HOUSE OF SOLAD since then I was intrigued by the entertainment of a thing so when I got to school, I met a lot of people who are into social events in school. Persons of MC Dekola, MC Mofy, and many more. They encouraged me a lot in this entertainment industry, It has not been easy though but thank God I’m growing.
What motivated you to pursue this Entertainment path?
Happiness is priceless. I noticed one thing; during every moment of an event, people are at ease from their stress or worries and one important thing about me is I like to make everyone around me happy always.

Have you always been interested in event planning and organizing, or did that passion develop over time?
It has always been my passion to do that because when I was learning barbing. I developed myself by learning Disk Jockey on my own and also attending shows at the same time.
There was a time in 2018 when the former vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo introduced the feeding of primary school students in ADO EKITI. I was opportune to play as a DJ. That moment was also one of the best times of my life.
This gave me the zeal of doing more entertainment but it was until 2020 I officially put all my interest into doing more entertainment and since then God has been faithful.
Casting a mesmerizing glow across Akungba and Ondo State at large, Rostimarp brought his visionary talents to life with the grandest event of the season - the Masqupiano Glow in the Dark Party. This unique extravaganza blended the enigmatic world of masked mystery with the luminous allure of glow-in-the-dark spectacle. But what was the inspiration behind this audacious feat?
Is Masqupiano Glow in the Dark Party your first-ever event?
That was my second event. My first event was FRESHERS FIESTA 2020/2021 in school
Congratulations on the success of MASQUPIANO glow in the dark party by the way!
Can you tell us more about the event and its concept?
The inspiration came from MASK AND AMAPIANO. Masqu from MASK and Piano from AMAPIANO
The genre of song trending then was Amapiano so that gave me this 80% vibe that people will be intrigued. I used the body painting as a side attraction and to the glory of God, it was a total shutdown.
Can't agree less. Yeah, it was a total shutdown. Were there any specific challenges you faced during the planning and execution of the event, and how did you overcome them?
Yes, a lot in terms of team members. The fact that people working with you can't see the event the way you're seeing it is always a very big challenge
And another thing is seriousness omoh that one alone is on the high side but when it's almost time for the event, you will start seeing the energy and it's because they are seeing the progress of the event if not you won't get any vibe.
Yeah, I can relate. It happens a lot and that's how life is right?!
Yea, and another thing is acceptability Omoh this environment, if you don't really give the audience the premium vibe and let them see light in your event before people go turn up omoh you gats work o! Like big time.
That's why I believe in doing premium events but my events are always affordable because I want everyone to be able to participate in it.
Cool!, What inspired the idea for your event, and what did you hope to achieve with it?
I have this aspiration in which I'm looking up to God and support from students of AAUA when the time is right. I will be contesting for the post of the social director of the school I mean the SUG level.
I will like to show them my capabilities, ability, and all I have in me when it comes to entertainment and I believe, with God all things are possible.
Alright, I believe people that have seen you and your work will be thrilled to have you as their Social Director when you are ready. Moving on, How did you feel during the event? Were there any particularly memorable moments that stood out to you?
I see every moment of the event like “Am I dreaming?” because the turn up I do get are always amazing and I'm praying for more.
What were some of the highlights and positive feedback you received from attendees and participants?
Positive is like 90%, negative like 5% and it came from mostly girls because they were unable to enter the club where the party was hosted and this happened due to overpopulation but at the end we cool still because they are asking for more of this kind of event.
The remaining 5% to myself I guess because it was wow
Did the event meet your expectations, and were there any surprises along the way?
Omoh can humans be satisfied? I will still say no because we improvise a lot of things but it won't happen again. Surprises (hmmm). I remember some group of guys who took flight all the way from Lagos on that same day of the event. I didn’t see that coming and so many other people that pulled up for me from different locations, omoh I was so happy.
Now that the event is behind you, what are some valuable lessons you learned from the experience?
Yes, there are a lot of lessons and I gained a lot of lessons. I believe in one thing. Practice makes perfect. I will definitely do more this time around.

As you plan for the second edition, are there any changes or improvements you want to implement based on the feedback and insights from the first event?
Yes. Remember I said we improvised the other time. The mask as an example was replaced with glow glass and glow stick. This time around, we will try our best to meet up the standard of events by getting normal and adequate resources.

What advice would you give to others who are aspiring to organize successful events in the entertainment industry?
I will advise them never to give up on whatever they set their mind on to achieve and they should scrap this mentality of competition. “Do your thing your way” because everyone is born with different uniqueness and they should also try to work with the right minds who will believe in their dream, with that it will be easy to achieve anything without stress. Above all, pray for grace.
