The event's humble beginnings trace back to AAUA, initiated by Femi Nejo, famously known as Zeal of Africa (Founder & Creative Director at Zeal Concept Initiative) and was also the founder of the famous annual FACE OF AAUA (FOA) PAGEANT AND AWARDS during his time as the AAUA Students’ Union Director of Socials 2012/2013 session, from the former Miss AAUA annual event. Dream Chasers Award & Mask Party has always been in collaboration his partner, Alex Akinnibosun, the founder and CEO of AAUA Amebo, both of whom have now become alumni. Over time, the event transcended its origins and transformed into a remarkable gathering, encompassing both current students and alumni. As a result, whenever the event is announced, it never fails to captivate the attention of staylites on campus, drawing in a diverse crowd of both familiar and unfamiliar faces. Often held on weekends, this occasion has gained a reputation for its energetic atmosphere and unforgettable experiences, leading to epic shutdowns year after year.
